LIKA Group creates dream homes in the heart of Paradiso
21 September 2023

In the heart of Paradiso on Lake Lugano, LIKA Group AG is developing a modern residential building with 37 residential units, to be held in co-ownership. Claudio Lo Riso, a well-known architect and native of the Ticino, was retained for the architectural design.

Named “Green Corner”, this new-build construction project that the Swiss real estate group LIKA pursues in Paradiso on Lake Lugano will include first and second homes, holiday flats and commercial units. The modern residential building on the corner of Viale San Salvatore and Via Geretta will divide into 37 residential units of 1.5 to 4.5 rooms and extend over nine upper floors. As an exclusive feature, LIKA will top the building with two penthouse apartments that include unique roof terraces and, of course, the lake view.

The ground floor will provide a large commercial unit that can either be carved up into separate rooms or be used as a generously sized retail space, depending on the occupier’s type of business. It is scheduled to be ready for occupancy by summer of 2025. Sustainability is an issue that figures prominently at the “Green Corner.” For one thing, it will get its heating from a heat pump using geothermal probes to cover the building’s annual heating demand year-round. Equally sustainable are the photovoltaic panels that will alternate with travertine cladding in the rear-ventilated façade. Photovoltaic panels mounted on top of the flat roof will make the building even more sustainable in the future. Claudio Lo Riso, the renowned architect hired for the building project, is actually a native of the region.
